SBA and Supplier Certification Assistance
The right certification can make you eligible for contracts set aside for businesses like yours. I help you work out which certifications you may qualify for, prepare a complete application, and respond to follow-up questions.
Who this is for
This is for business owners who think they may qualify for a federal, state, or local certification but are unsure which one to pursue, or who have started an application and want it done properly. Many certifications can be held together, so I look at which combination fits your business.

Who does what
What I do
I assess eligibility, organize your application, write the narratives, and check your documents for gaps and inconsistencies before you submit.
What you do
You provide accurate ownership and business records, review the application, and sign it, because you are certifying the facts.
What the certifying organization does
The agency or organization behind each program makes the certification decision and sets its own review schedule.
About fees. My consulting fee is separate from any application or certification fees. Some certifying organizations charge their own fees and others do not. I will tell you which apply to your certification before you commit.
How it works
- 1
Tell me about your business
Share who owns and runs the company and what you are hoping to qualify for.
- 2
I assess the fit
I evaluate which certifications you may qualify for and the best order to pursue them.
- 3
I prepare the package
I build the application, write the narratives, and review your supporting documents.
- 4
You submit and I follow up
You review and submit. I help with any follow-up questions and with recertification later.
What I need from you
- Ownership and control details, including who owns and manages the business
- Business formation and registration documents
- Financial or tax records, where the program asks for them
- Service-disabled or veteran status documents, if you are applying for a veteran program
- Any existing certifications and your SAM.gov status
Please do not send identity documents or other sensitive records through the inquiry form. We will agree on a secure way to share documents once we begin.
Timing
Certification timelines depend on the program, how complete your documents are, how quickly you can gather records, and the certifying organization’s own review queue, which I do not control.
I prepare each application so it is complete and consistent, which helps avoid delays caused by missing or conflicting information. I cannot promise a decision date or an approval, but a well-prepared application puts you in the strongest position. If you have a bid that depends on a certification, tell me in your request.

Common questions
Which certification should I get?
It depends on who owns and controls your business, where it operates, and the contracts you want. I evaluate this with you and recommend where to start.
Can you guarantee approval?
No. The certifying organization makes the decision. I prepare a complete, well-organized application so reviewers have what they need.
Can I hold more than one certification?
Often yes. Several certifications can stack, and each one can open a separate pool of set-aside work. I look at which combination applies to you.
Do you handle state and local certifications too?
Yes. I help with state and local programs such as DBE, MBE, and WBE as well as federal SBA programs.
What does it cost?
My consulting fee is separate from any fees charged by the certifying organization. I confirm my fee with you before work begins.
Is there a charge to talk first?
If our first conversation is enough, there is no charge.
